I am a linguist, love natural languages and I think the most exciting part of this job is to try to figure out the compositional meaning of linguistic constructions. Here is a list of topics I'm interested in:
For a while now, I have been engaged in a new line of research along with colleague Agustín Vicente (Ikerbasque & UPV/EHU) on cognitive and linguistic abilities in atypical populations. Together we have created the Language in Neurodiversity Lab [Lindy Lab]. You can visit our website for more information: http://lindy-lab.eus.
Another area in which I am interested is language diversity. More specifically:
So, my research focuses on natural language semantics and its interfaces with pragmatics and syntax. Although I come from a theoretical perspective, I have been incorporating some experimental tools in my methodology, in particular when it comes to data collection. One day I would like to do field linguistics. Putting together theoretical work and the effort to preserve language diversity is my linguistic ideal.
